Borderlands 4 Rippa Roadbirds Boss Guide and Legendary Drops

The only thing better than farming one boss in Borderlands 4 is farming three bosses, and that’s why the Rippa Roadbirds are one of the best encounters to farm in the entire game. This trio of Rippers will shower you in loot as long as you’ve progressed far enough in Borderlands 4 to reach them.

The Rippa Roadbirds have some unique legendaries that can’t be obtained anywhere else, and even then, they’re a great source of other weapons since they drop so much loot. There are three bosses in total, and each of them drops their own set of guns after they go down. Here’s how to farm the Rippa Roadbirds and their legendaries in Borderlands 4.

Borderlands 4 Rippa Roadbirds Boss Location

The Rippa Roadbirds are located at Saw’s Clench, a Ripper Drill Site in the Ruined Sumplands in the northern part of Carcadia Burn in Borderlands 4. It’s at the northwestern edge of the map. To summon the bosses, you’ll have to kill enough Rippers to draw them out.

When the boss battle begins, three flying enemies will enter the fray: Lil Grunt, Baby Grunt, and Gruntubulous Vork. Each of these three bosses is protected by a shield, but their actual health bars go down pretty fast after that’s taken care of. Use shock damage to make quick work of their shields, then finish them off with precision weapons like sniper rifles or any Jakobs gun.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed during this encounter. A handful of Rippers will continue to spawn throughout the arena during the fight, so use them to revive yourself if you get downed. Otherwise, it’s a straightforward duel against the Rippa Roadbirds. Each of the three bosses drops their own set of loot, so you’ll be showered in guns after the fighting dies down.

Rippa Roadbirds Legendary Drops

The Rippa Roadbirds have two dedicated legendary drops in Borderlands 4.

Legendary

Description

Wombo Combo Assault Rifle

Rip Rockets: Rockets automatically fire from the underbarrel.

Spinning Blade Grenade

Juggler: Catch the rebound to refund a grenade charge.

While both drops are great, Wombo Combo is the gun everyone’s after. It’s a Vladof assault rifle that automatically fires rockets from its underbarrel, giving it a crazy high damage output. Spinning Blade is also a great consolation prize, especially if you have a grenade-centric build. It refunds your grenade charge if you catch the rebound.

Even if you’re not after any specific legendary weapons, the Rippa Roadbirds are great farming targets in Borderlands 4 because they drop so much loot in general. With three bosses to kill, you have a high chance of getting a powerful legendary drop.
